On the workbench today: ZT (Zachary Taylor UK) baritone ukulele with a nearly invisible top crack. This cracked due to dryness and after a week of intense in-the-case humidifying the crack closed up so tight it may be a challenge to get glue into it.

Hi, I’m Michael Swanson, luthier. Since sweeping the floors at Brodesser Guitars in the late 80’s; I’ve dedicated a large portion of my time and skills to stringed instruments of all sorts. Guitars, basses, mandos, fiddles, dulcimers, tiples, psalteries, … I’m happy to work on just about anything you pluck or bow (even banjos and autoharps).

My workshop is located in the Irvington neighborhood of Indianapolis.
