Jonathan Mann Raven OM-5 Five-String Electric Mandolin/Mandola – Vintage Tobacco Burst
A distinctive handmade instrument from Tennessee luthier Jonathan Mann, this 2025 Raven OM-5 is a semi-hollow, neck-through electric mandolin designed to combine the lighter weight and resonance of a semi-hollow body with the sustain and stability of neck-through construction.
Features
Excellent Condition
5-string Raven with an 18" scale
Single neck-position DiMarzio Pro Track humbucking pickup
Vintage Tobacco Burst finish with gloss top and satin back.
The three-piece curly maple/mahogany/curly maple neck extends through the body, with the mahogany body constructed around the central neck for added stability and strength.
The semi-hollow body keeps the instrument light while contributing additional acoustic resonance.
The Raven uses an 18" scale and is typically tuned C-G-D-A-E, extending downward from the conventional mandolin's G-D-A-E tuning, while retaining the familiar mandolin tuning on the upper four strings, allowing it to span both the mandola and mandolin registers.
